Pharmacy First enables community pharmacists to supply prescription-only medicines, including antibiotics and antivirals where clinically appropriate, to treat 7 common health conditions.
What conditions can be treated?
- Sinusitis
- Sore throat
- Earache
- Infected insect bites
- Impetigo (a bacterial skin infection)
- Shingles
- Uncomplicated urinary tract infections in women.
If you require medical attention for any of the above, you can approach your local pharmacy for care and avoid the need for an urgent care appointment at the surgery.

Door 43 offers support to 13-25 year olds on a range of emotional wellbeing issues. Sexual Health Sheffield
Sexual Health Sheffield offers services for contraception, STI screening and treatment, PrEP and emergency contraception.
Sexual Health Sheffield also run a walk-in youth clinic for anyone 18 years or under for information and advice on any sexual health issues, contraception and support. This service is open Mondays and Wednesdays 2pm – 6pm at Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Entrance 11a, B road.

MSI Reproductive Choices
MSI Reproductive Choices is a service who can provide early medical abortion, surgical abortion, STI screening, contraception & counselling across South Yorkshire.
Their treatment centres offer the following services:
* Face to Face Early Medical Abortion, or the abortion pill (up to 9 weeks and 6 days gestation)
* Surgical Abortion (up to 23 weeks and 6 days gestation)
